Welcome to the Prairie Arabian Working Western & Sport Horse Association website!

We are a newly founded non-profit association made up of equine enthusiasts who have been successfully showing, breeding, and training horses – both Arabian and non-Arabian – for a number of years. By forming this new association, we aim to provide an additional opportunity for individuals, trainers, and general equine enthusiasts in the Prairie provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba to showcase their Arabian and non-Arabian horse(s) in competition geared toward the athleticism of the Working Western and Sport Horse disciplines, including Dressage, Sport Horse, Reining, Trail, and Horsemanship.

PAWWSHA hosted its first show in 2018 and received a lot of positive feedback from exhibitors, volunteers, judges, and stewards. We are excited to host the second annual Beat the Heat show on June 15th and 16th in Melville, Saskatchewan. We hope to expand to multiple shows in following years pending support from members, sponsors, and the public.

PAWWSHA’s primary goal is inclusivity and opportunity for all levels of exhibitors. We aim to promote the Arabian breed to the public as well as to promote a healthy, active lifestyle with equines of all breeds in a variety of working disciplines.
